Wrestling in Norway
Wrestling is the oldest mat sport there is, and the best schooling available in deciding where a fight takes place. Freestyle and Greco-Roman are competitive sports in their own right, but wrestling is also what settles most MMA fights.

What an ordinary class looks like
Wrestling is hard work from the first minute: movement on the feet, entries on the legs, and control once your opponent is down. Freestyle allows attacks below the waist, Greco-Roman does not, and most Norwegian clubs train both.
Why it is worth it
Nothing builds conditioning and control over where a fight happens the way wrestling does. That is why grapplers and MMA fighters go looking for wrestling clubs. The kit is minimal: tight clothing and wrestling shoes. Clubs are usually sports associations with low fees.

Questions about Wrestling
Can adults take up wrestling?
Yes, but most Norwegian wrestling clubs are built around children and juniors. Ask specifically whether an adult class exists before turning up.
What is the difference between freestyle and Greco-Roman?
Freestyle allows attacks on the legs and use of the legs in holds; Greco-Roman is upper body only. Norwegian clubs usually train both.
Does wrestling help in BJJ and MMA?
More than anything else, because it decides where the fight takes place. Plenty of grapplers train wrestling alongside jiu-jitsu for exactly that reason.
